Local Psychiatry Services

Psychiatrists and therapists both help with mental health, but they do so in different ways. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medications to help manage them. They usually focus on the medical side of things, like giving medicine for depression or anxiety, and you might see them less often, mostly to check on how the medicine is working. We do not offer any psychiatry services.

Therapists, like counselors or psychologists, focus on helping you talk through your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. They provide support through regular conversations, helping you manage stress, improve relationships, and develop coping skills. While they do not prescribe medicine, they often work with psychiatrists if you need both therapy and medication to feel better. Together, they offer a well-rounded approach to mental health care.
